The COVID-19 corona virus outbreak currently affects 34 patients in Indonesia. Although increasing, the case of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is increasingly dangerous which infects up to 17,820 people throughout Indonesia.
The data was recorded by the Ministry of Health from January to today, Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
“The number of dengue cases as of March 11 2020 recorded 17,820 cases,” said the Director of the Prevention and Control of Vector and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, Dr. Siti Nadia, at a press conference in her office, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
Sadly, the number of cases that reached thousands of patients claimed 104 lives. Nadia said that the most deaths due to dengue fever occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT).
In addition, Sikka district is one of the regions that has recorded the highest number of deaths. The number is far above the positive cases and death of SARS-CoV-2 corona virus in Indonesia.
“There are 32 out of 104 deaths in NTT Province. Of that number, 14 of them occurred in Sikka Regency, “he said.
Other DBD case records throughout Indonesia include Lampung (3,423), NTT (2,711), East Java (1,761), West Java (1,420), Jambi (703), Central Java (648), Riau (602), South Sumatra (593), DKI Jakarta (583), and NTB (558).
