At the Worldwide Developer Conference 2020 event, in addition to introducing iOS 14 and MacOS Big Sur, Apple also introduced iPadOS 14. Similar to iOS 14, the iPad operating system also brought several changes. One of the changes is the improvement of Apple pencil performance.
iPadOS 14 also allows users to use third applications for a number of features. This capability can increase user productivity when operating this device. This operating system is now available for developers, and a new beta will be coming soon in June. And, the same as iOS 14, iPadOS will be released to the public in September 2020. Here are some of the newer features brought by this operating system:
Improved Apple Pencil
One improvement from Apple Pencil is that handwriting can be turned into text. This handwriting can also be copied and pasted between applications. Deleting images and writing is also easier. Users only need to scratch the text to delete it.
The design is similar to MacOS
The interface of iPadOS 14 is designed similar to MacOS. For example, a search field similar to Spotlight on Mac. This search field will also find documents or applications faster. Applications like Notes and Photo are also positioned in the left hand menu, similar to the appearance of a Mac. Application icons can also be shifted and positioned according to the user’s wishes. The calendar application on the operating system is also already connected with a toolbar button.
The default email and browser application
Users can set the desired email and browser application to be used as the default application. The presence of this feature is much awaited by Apple product users. This operating system also has a widget feature and users can embed important messages in messages.
