Prime Day is just over a week away (July 8–11), but here at the Strategist, we’re already in megadeals mode. We’re doing everything we can to get your ready, from sharing the best early Prime Day deals to divulging our top tips for shopping the sale smartly. Even though this year’s sale is a little different than past years — four days long, compared to the usual two — we’re expecting a lot of the deals from past years to be live again this year.
So, to help you get your shopping cart ready now, we’re sharing the nearly 100 items we believe will be on sale come July 8. We combed through past Prime Day sales and looked at top sellers from previous Prime Days to make this list. All items below have been on sale multiple Prime Days, if not all of them, at prices we stand behind.

Health and household
We like to say that, if nothing else, Prime Day is a good time to get a deal on something you need anyway, like toothpaste, toilet paper, hand soap, and laundry detergent. Discounts are often just a few bucks, but a deal is a deal!

Sleep
The sleep deals vary greatly during Prime Day. It’s not the biggest time for mattress deals, but you can often find a couple of good ones from brands we stand by. Pillows, on the other hand, abound, especially our favorite affordable ones from Beckham. And on the sheets front, a few of our favorite brands are available on Amazon and usually go on sale for the event, including Brooklinen.

Home and kitchen
Home deals are hit or miss — a lot of the things on sale come from random brands. We primarily stick to the décor section for Prime Day, where you’ll find rugs, wall accents, and mirrors. The kitchen section is often more robust, though, and you’re certain to find good deals on air fryers, coffee makers, and other tools and appliances. And if you’re in the market for a Vitamix or a KitchenAid, Prime Day is your golden ticket to a great deal.

Tech
You will always find AirPods on sale (often for some of the best prices we ever see) during Prime Day. There’s also usually at least one Kindle on sale, though the model that gets discounted varies. And plenty of other big-ticket tech, like Bluetooth speakers and digital picture frames, and cheaper tech accessories, like chargers, will be discounted too.

Travel and outdoors
Prime Day happens in the midst of summer travel and outdoors fun, meaning there are lots of deals for both to be found, from luggage and portable chargers to insect repellants and pool towels. (Away recently launched on Amazon, too, so we suspect Away suitcases will be on sale for the first time ever this Prime Day.)

Kids and babies
Tons of toys, kids’ clothes (particularly shoes), and back-to-school items are discounted for Prime Day. There’s often a lot of variation in what exactly is discounted year to year, but some top sellers from Prime Days past include one of our favorite lunch boxes, the Bentgo; everyone’s favorite kids’ shoes, Natives; and a classic Squishmallow.
