For this week’s “Don’t Dillydally,” we’ve rounded up a range of newly released products we’re particularly excited about, including a banana-scented Prada lip balm, Jane Austen themed catchalls, and plenty of new Magna Tile sets in time for the Summer break.

First teased as a gummy candy in Sabrina Carpenter’s Manchild video, the banana balm joins maple and astral pink within Prada’s lip range. It won’t tint your lips Simpsons-yellow, instead leaving a brightening golden tint along with a fresh, juicy banana scent as it hydrates and restores the lip barrier — for up to 24 hours per application.

Performance swimwear brand Left On Friday have collaborated with Loeffler Randall. Writer Megan Ferguson calls the LOF Sunday suit the “perfect” one piece. The collection doesn’t include the Sunday suit one piece but the bikini version is included, as well as a square-neckline one-piece. The capsule is limited edition, so if you want to snag some cheetah-pattern briefs or Champagne-glitter strappy jelly sandals for your next vacation, act fast.
Dr Idriss Major Fade Disco Block SPF

The Dr Idriss line expands again. Following a recent launch of cutesy pimple patches, her major fade line has just added the Disco Block SPF 50. It has a whipped, cream-like consistency and a slight-tinted lavender hue which the brand promises fades into all skin tones, addressing discoloration and leaving a brightening finish. I’ve been testing this for a few weeks and am impressed: however, I’m extremely pale and find that almost all SPFs fade seamlessly into my skin tone. Those with a darker skin tone may wish to wait until some more reviews on its suitability emerge.

It feels like everyone is launching a hair-peptide collection these days — but when a Strategist-pillar skin-care brand enters the hair-care market, it’s worth paying attention. COSRX, whose snail mucin essence you’ll find in the bathroom cabinet of 80 percent of Strategist staffers, is the latest to do just that. Its Ultra Perfect Hair Bonding Collection is “formulated with the brand’s patented PEPTIDE-132 to target and repair hair damage at the molecular level.” Pretty standard peptide promises, but we think this line has some serious potential.

Enamored by Johnathon Bailey’s slutty little Jurassic World glasses? You’re not alone. In fact, demand is so high that Cubitts has collaborated with Bailey to launch a limited-edition pair of sunglasses. Loomis takes its name from paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis — played by Bailey in the movie — and its shape from the signature Plimsoll frame in the Cubitts collection. Preorders are open now, and 50 percent of net profits will be donated to The Shameless Fund, an LGBTQ+ charity founded by Bailey in 2024.

How are you celebrating Jane Austen’s 250th this year? I might treat myself to a 20th rewatch of the BBC’s Pride & Prejudice. John Derian has also chosen her most famous novel for its happy returns, transforming five re-created character letters from the novel into unique decoupage trays. Shocking revelations from Mr Darcy, Jane Bennett, and Dearest Lizzie herself are all on offer as collaged paper under handblown glass — each made to order.

I am drooling with envy at the outfits of the new Bratz® doll in collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier. Each doll comes with two outfits, a plush velvet two-piece featuring the iconic JPG cone bra, and an eye-catching tartan kilt complete with nautical crop-top and sailor’s hat. There are plenty of accessories, too, including a standard Bratz doll hair comb, Gautier charm, purse, and doll-size fragrances. Special-edition packages are already sold out, though — so this is sure to become a near-impossible-to-source collectors’ item in years to come.
